Making An Impact

With Billy James

Welcome to “Making An Impact” review for TNA Impact Wrestling. I’m Simply Sensational Billy James with the fallout from Impact Wrestling. Tonight it’s all or nothing as the Bound for Glory Series starts coming to a close as tonight we have three matches as Jeff Hardy faces Kazarian, Christopher Daniels vs. Austin Aries and Bobby Roode goes one on one with AJ Styles. After loosing “Aces & Eights” member Devon last week in the 10 Man Tag Team match where the person pinned has to leave TNA. What will Bully Ray and the rest of “Aces & Eights” have to say about the lost? Tonight Hulk Hogan makes his return to Impact Wrestling tonight. What will Hogan have to say to TNA fans and to “Aces & Eights?” TNA were shocked last week when Bully Ray revealed that the “Brooke” he loves is actually Brooke Tessmacher as Brooke made her return to Impact Wrestling. Will Brooke explain why she’s now with Bully Ray? After coming to the aid of the Main Event Mafia as their fifth man in the 10 Man Tag Team match, will AJ Styles explain why he decided to help the Main Event Mafia. Also tonight Gail Kim and ODB take their feud up a notch as they go one on one in a 2 out of 3 Falls match where the winner becomes the Number #1 Contender to the TNA Knockouts title currently held by Mickie James.  So let’s get started by asking yourself this one question? “Are you ready to feel the Impact?”

Matches

Jeff Hardy pins Kazarian in a Bound for Glory Series match

ODB defeats Gail Kim pin fall and submission in a 2 Out of 3 Falls match to become the Number #1 Contender to the TNA Knockouts title

AJ Styles pins Bobby Roode in a Bound for Glory Series match

Austin Aries pins Christopher Daniels in a Bound for Glory Series match

I Don’t Do Jack Shit & I Still Get Into The Club!!!

Really TNA, you’re making Tito Ortiz a full member of “Aces & Eights” after getting rid of Devon? Not to sound like a broken record but Ortiz brings absolutely nothing to the “Aces & Eights” storyline far as advancement goes. Ortiz has not done anything in the ring and looks stupid just standing there like he’s just there for a paycheck. Wait Ortiz is just standing there for a paycheck. If TNA is using Ortiz as the reason to spilt up “Aces & Eights” storyline wise then ok but at least have Ortiz do something. I might bitch about “Rampage” Jackson but at least Jackson got in the ring and did something. Ortiz is in my top 5 list of the problems in TNA and Ortiz needs to be shown the door and now.

My Daughter’s Ass is Hotter Then Your Girlfriend’s Despite What I Said Being Perverted!

The whole Bully Ray\Hulk Hogan has really starting to get old as this segment was the same old shit with the exception of Hogan giving a story line reason that writes Brooke Hogan out of this feud. Bully Ray was saying the same stuff that we already heard far as Bully Ray using everyone to get the TNA title. Then Hogan after telling Bully Ray that he going to defend the TNA title against a member of “Aces & Eights” at No Surrender which is ok but then Hogan announces that next week Bully Ray has to defend the TNA title next week against Sting. Wait a F@cking minute, Sting lost to Bully Ray at Slammiversary with the stipulation that Sting would never get another TNA title shot again since Sting lost. So how can Sting get a title shot against Bully Ray for the TNA title due to this stipulation? I have to say that the only other good thing out of this segment was Brooke Tessmacher as she looked smoking hot in those tight black leather shorts. I hope that Brooke will explain her new alliance with Bully Ray next week as I’m sure fans want to know. On a side note, I have to disagree with Bully Ray’s comment about Brooke being the hottest Knockout ever. Brooke is one of the hottest but you have current Knockouts like Taryn Terrell, Gail Kim, Velvet Sky and of course the current TNA Knockouts Champion and the greatest Women’s wrestler today; Mickie James that are damn hot too.

Twisting Into The Finals

Jeff Hardy vs. Kazarian was interesting as this and next week’s Impact Wrestling is last of the Bound for Glory Series match before the finals in two weeks on the No Surrender special Impact Wrestling where the top four in the Bound for Glory Series scoreboard will wrestling to see who will face Bully Ray at Bound for Glory for the TNA title. This was more pressure on Hardy as he needed the points more then Kazarain and it showed has Hardy went with a more grounded offense against Kazarian at the start of the match going for quick pin attempts. Kazarian gets control for the early part of the match before Hardy comes back with a face planter and late locks the Figure Four on Kazarian trying for a submission win. Hardy finally is able to hit the Twist of Fate after Kazarian blocked the first attempt and then hits the Swanton Bomb for the win and earning 7 points finishing with a final score of 31 points.

Gail Kim Vs. ODB; It Never Gets Old

I’m surprised that TNA decided to go with another match between ODB and Gail Kim but I’m not complaining because their matches so far have been damn good and this match was no exception as this match was 2 Out of 3 Falls with the winner getting a title shot against Mickie James for the Knockouts title made this match even more important which made me more interested in the match as everyone knows by now that I’m a huge Mickie James fan. ODB started things off with a nice standing vertical suplex on Gail when was quite impressive. However Gail was able to drop ODB on her knee and started working on the knee until Gail locked in a modified Texas Cloverleaf to win the first fall. ODB wins the second fall after rolling up Gail when Gain tries for a submission move. Gail goes back to working on ODB’s leg but ODB is able to fight back and gets Gail into a modified Sharpshooter forcing Gail to tap out and making ODB the new Number #1 Contender to the Knockouts title. I think a match between ODB and Mickie James for the Knockouts title is going to be awesome.

A Phenomenal Promo!

While the Main Event Mafia part of the segment was not that great, AJ Styles promo saved the whole damn segment. I like the fact that Styles talk about being the face of TNA and being that “Go To Guy” of TNA. I got a kick out of the “I’m better than the Best in the World, I’m the Phenomenal AJ Styles”  as I love to see Styles vs. Punk today as I know that they have wrestled each in Ring of Honor. I also like how Styles lashed out at Dixie Carter telling her that he deserves better which I totally agree with especially after that shitty storyline with “Claire Lynch.” Another thing that I like about Styles promo is that Styles pointed out how whenever TNA brought in “Big Stars” that failed and when TNA Management’s “New Direction” failed that he was the one carrying the company on his shoulders. I think the important thing about Styles promo was the passion that Styles was showing and that’s what made this promo great.

I’m Going To The Finals Because I’m F@cking AJ Styles!

I think Roode vs. Styles was the prime example of what the “All or Nothing” theme for that final Bound for Glory Series matches were about as Styles went multiple times during the match for the 10 submission win trying to lock in the Calf Killer on Roode. Styles controlled the early part of the match hitting a moonsault from the ramp following up with a back breaker into a camel clutch. Roode comes back hitting a hard spine buster on Styles and then a very fast power suplex. Styles is able come back with a spine buster of his own and then springs into a moonsault. Roode catches Styles spring boarding off the ropes into the cross face arm bar which Styles reverses into the Calf Killer which Roode gets to the ropes to break the hold. Styles gets the win when he rolls up Roode for the pin which gives Styles 7 points which leaves Styles with 29 points.

The Greatest Match Ever Seen In Cleveland!

What can I say about Austin Aries vs. Christopher Daniels but F@cking best match of the night for sure. The match started off fast with Aries hitting a Dusty Rhodes type elbow on Daniels. Daniels bails to the outside of the ring and hits Aries with a wicked kick as Aries went for the suicide dive. Daniels now in control hits a nice neck breaker on Aries. Aries comes back after hitting a lariat on Daniels following up with a pendulum elbow. Daniels comes back after ducking Aries from top rope hitting a sit down power bomb on Aries. Aries finally is able to pin Daniels after hitting a running drop kick in the ring corner followed by the brain buster which gives Aries 7 points putting Aries in second place with 35 points. Again the best match of the night that I highly recommend that you go on Youtube and watch it.

Ive Still Got A Chance To Go To No Surrender

While the Hulk Hogan\Bully Ray segment sucked, the one thing that good was the announcement of the Gauntlet for the Gold where all 12 men will compete and the winner will get 20 point and in the case for most of men in the Bound for Glory Series, a guarantee place in the final four at No Surrender. This is huge because guys like Mr. Anderson, Kazarian, Joseph Park and AJ Styles now have a chance to earn a spot in the final four at No Surrender which I’m going heading and calling it that that AJ Styles will be going to the final four at No Surrender.

Show Rating: 8

Final Thought

Wow what a great Impact Wrestling we got tonight. All four matches were great with Austin Aries vs. Christopher Daniels being the best one of the night. We saw AJ Styles drop a promo that still has people talking which different sources was done by Styles himself with no input from TNA. ODB vs. Gail was great despite this being the third time that they have wrestle each other but this was even more special because the match was a 2 out of 3 Falls with the winner getting a title for the Knockouts title which ODB will get a title shot against current TNA Knockouts Champion; Mickie James. I was surprised that Styles won the match by pinfall as I thought that Styles would win by submission to score 10 points. Again, Aries and Daniels stole the show as that match was a 4 Star easy in my opinion which if you haven’t this match then get on Youtube and watch it. Despite the terrible segment with Hulk Hogan and Bully Ray, this week’s Impact Wrestling was awesome and I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen next with the Gauntlet for the Gold Bound for Glory Series match where the winner will get 20 points.
