Making An Impact
With Billy James
Welcome to “Making An Impact” review for TNA Impact Wrestling. I’m Simply Sensational Billy James with the fallout from Impact Wrestling. After appearing as the mystery man behind the “August 1st Warning,” what will Tito Ortiz have in store for “Aces & Eights” and the Main event Mafia? “Aces & Eights” members; Bully Ray and Devon team up to face TNA Champion; Chris Sabin and a member of the Main Event Mafia of Sabin’s choice. Which Main Event Mafia Member will Sabin choose as his tag team partner? After battling last week to a “Double Count Out” last week, will ODB and Gail Kim continue their heated rivalry? Tonight the Bound for Glory Series continues as we have three matches tonight including Jeff Hardy vs. Samoa Joe, Magnus vs. Mr. Anderson of “Aces & Eights” and Christopher Daniels vs. Kazarian. Who will move on the Bound for Glory Series scoreboard tonight? So let’s get started by asking yourself this one question? “Are you ready to feel the Impact?”
Jeff Hardy pins Samoa Joe in a Bound for Glory Series match
Mr. Anderson defeats Magnus by disqualification in a Bound for Glory Series match
ODB, “The Cowboy” James Storm & Gunner beat Bromance (Robbie E. & Jessie) and Mickie James
Christopher Daniels vs. Kazarian Bound for Glory Series match ends in a Double Count Out
Chris Sabin & Kurt Angle defeat Bully Ray & Devon of “Aces & Eights”
This Contract Means That I’m Going To Regain The TNA Title!
So we got the so call “Official” contract signing between Bully Ray and the TNA Champion; Chris Sabin for next week at Hardcore Justice where Sabin will defend the TNA title against Bully Ray inside a steel cage. This segment was ruined from the minute that Brooke Hogan made her way to ring to announce the stipulation for the match in which Bully Ray fails to beat Sabin at Hardcore Justice then Bully Ray will never get another TNA title shot again. With that stipulation it pretty much means that Bully Ray is going to walk out as the TNA Champion. I really don’t think that TNA would keep one of their top “Heels” out of the TNA title picture forever. TNA creative must think that we’re really stupid to buy this shit. And if TNA does out the TNA back on Bully Ray and TNA does Bully Ray vs. Hulk Hogan with the TNA title on the line at Bound for Glory then TNA is going to loosing what few loyal fans that they have left.
I Don’t Even Know What The F@ck I’m Doing Here!!
What the hell TNA? Why bring in Tito Ortiz and then have him come out to the ring this week and say that he doesn’t have answers why he’s in TNA. Come on TNA creative can’t at least come up with some kind of bullshit excuse? It was cool to see Angle come out to confront Ortiz but it’s the same shit we saw with Angle and “Rampage” Jackson. Bully Ray didn’t help the segment either as his promo was also the same old shit. The bottom line is that TNA needs to stop bring in these MMA guy who are not to do anything for the company in the long term and they aren’t going to wrestle. It’s not fair to guys on the roster who really deserves the spot more than these MMA guys.
And You Thought We Were Actually Going To Wrestle Each Other, Not!!!
Great job TNA on taking a match that I was looking forward as other fans were too and totally ruining it. Daniels and Kazarian are two best wrestler on the roster and this match could have been a “Four Star” match if TNA hadn’t went with the double count out finish with both men just stepping out the ring and being counted out by the referee. Why couldn’t TNA just let Daniels and Kazarian goes at it being the shit out of each with showcase of their wrestling skills and after the match then have Bobby Roode come to break the tension between the two, forming the new alliance in the process. Maybe what TNA should do is hire me to do creative since I can come up with better ideas then Eric Bischoff.
Come On & Tap, I Need The Ten Points!!!!
Wow, what a match between Jeff Hardy and Samoa Joe was damn good match where the action was great. Joe and Hardy were countering each other’s moves and kicking out the other’s finisher and blocking it. One point in the match, Joe hit an Enzuigiri on Hardy in that send Hardy to the floor. Another point in the match, Hardy hits Whisper in the Wind and went for the pin attempt only for Joe to kick out at two. I thought that it was cool how Hardy slipped out of the Muscle Buster and went for the Twist of Fate only for Joe to block it. The one thing that I didn’t like is Anderson and Taz at the announcer’s table as they were a distraction while great match was going on. Still despite the bad commentary, this was the best match of the night.
This is For The Bad Commentary On The Last Match!
Magnus vs. Anderson was interesting because Magnus being the leader in the Bound for Glory Series scoreboard. Magnus started the match in control until Anderson rams Magnus into the steel steps. After having his arm worked on by Anderson, Magnus comes back with several clotheslines and suplexes. While finish to this match cost Magnus 10 point in the Bound for Glory Series, it does setup a feud between Magnus and Bobby Roode which will be damn good.
Drity, Drunk, Cowboys, Guns & Bitches!
Wow, I was actually impressed with Jessie tonight during this six man tag team match as during the match Jesse hit an impressive drop kick on Storm concerning that Jesse has been only been wrestling for three years. I like the chemistry between Jessie and Robbie as they worked very well in this match. Storm and Gunner were great also especially Gunner who dominated both Robbie and Jessie hitting a side slam breaker on Jessie. The downside to this match was the fact that ODB nor Mickie James got the chance to wrestle during this match. Before the match, Mickie cut one hell of a promo showing how well she’s taking to her new “Heel” role as Mickie told they can soak the speckles of her spotlight as she takes care of ODB. After the match, Gail Kim came and attacked ODB as she is celebrating with Storm and Gunner showing that the feud between ODB and Gail Kim is far from over.
Death To Ming!!! I Mean Bully Ray!!!
I like how Sabin fooled everyone into thinking that Sting was his partner when actually Sabin’s partner was Kurt Angle. The match it self was interesting as Bully Ray and Devon were working together like they hadn’t missed a beat. Bully Ray during the match works on Sabin’s knee with Jeremy Borash selling the fact of Sabin’s past knee issues. Angle was amazing hitting all of his finishing move on both Bully ray and Devon. I like how Sabin avoided Bully Ray spearing through a table by moving out of the way which caused Bully Ray to go through the table. Sabin then goes to the top rope and hits cross body on Bully Ray to get the win for his team and giving Sabin more momentum going to Hardcore Justice next week.
Show Rating: 7
This Impact Wrestling was good but it could have been better. The match with the exception of Daniels and Kazarian were damn good with Jeff Hardy vs. Samoa Joe being the match of the night. Most of the segments didn’t deliver in my opinion expect for the segment with Robbie E, Jessie and Mickie James. Mickie has really embrace her new “Heel” character and is making the most of it. I can’t to see who is going to challenge Mickie for the Knockouts title. It looks like TNA is reforming Fortune or a version of it with Bobby Roode now working with Christopher Daniels and Kazarian. I can’t wait to see where this new alliance is going to go. So next week is Hardcore Justice where it’s Chris Sabin defending the TNA title against Bully Ray inside the steel cage, “Aces & Eight” take the Main Event Mafia in a 10 Man Tag Team where the person who is pinned must leave TNA and in a Bound for Glory Series Ladder match, it’s AJ Styles vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Austin Aries vs. Kazarian where the winner will score 20 points in the Bound for Glory Series. I can’t wait for next week’s show.
