With Riley Ross

Welcome back to Ring of Riley where I break down each segment and match of Ring of Honor. At the end of the review, I will talk about Riley’s Rewind which is the match that I cannot stop watching and Riley’s Regret which is the most cringe worthy moment of the hour long show. Also I will be awarding a top honor to a wrestler or wrestlers that stole the show; this honor is called Star of the Night. We have Kevin Kelly on commentary. Tonight we get the Steel Cage Warfare match, honor vs. S.C.U.M.

Mike Sydal/Zizou Middoux vs. The American Wolves—Richards and Middoux start off the match. They do chain wrestling and Richards takes him down. Middoux is doing some arm drag takedowns of Richards but Richards counters with a kick to the head. Middoux goes out of the ring and Sydal gets taken down by Richards. Richards goes to attack Middoux but he counters with a kick to the head. Edwards tries to interfere but gets sent flying over the top rope for his troubles. Sydal flies thru the air to take the American Wolves down. They deliver a double dropkick to Richards, Middoux then goes for the pin but Richards kicks out. He then tags in Sydal who takes him down and goes for a pin but Richards kicks out. Richards drags Sydal into his corner and he and Edwards work on taking him down. Middoux gets knocked off of the apron and shortly after gets tagged in. He has Richards in the corner and is pummeling away at him. He kicks Richards in the head again and goes for the pin but Richards kicks out. All four men are in the ring and Sydal and Middoux take them down with double neck breakers. Holy shit this is an amazing match. Sydal does a split and gets kicked in the head. Middoux comes into the ring and gets double teamed by Richards and Edwards. Winner: American Wolves.

The American Wolves extend their hands to their opponents who storm off like whining little brats.

A recap of how S.C.U.M was reformed with Matt Hardy, Cliff Compton, and Rhett Titus that leads into the Steel Cage Warfare that is coming up soon. This is the best promo ever, kudos to all involved in making this video package.

RoH vs. S.C.U.M—this is the battle that we have all been waiting for. Will this be the end of S.C.U.M. or will be the end of Honor? This is an elimination style match and however has a member left standing is the winner. S.C.U.M. wins the coin toss and gets to come out first. Jimmy Jacobs comes out first. For Ring of Honor, BJ Whitmer comes out. BJ and Jimmy Jacobs kick off the match by trash talking each other. They start trading blows once the bell rings. Whitmer is a beast as Jacobs tries to slam him face first in the cage. Whitmer is owning Jacobs with a kick. Jacobs swings Whitmer into the cage and he ties Whitmer up on the ropes and delivers a dropkick. He starts choking Whitmer and follows it up with an elbow smash. He launches himself at Whitmer who sidesteps the assault and he flings Jacobs into the cage. He slams him face first into the steel cage. He does this repeatedly and goes for the pin but Jacobs kicks out. Whitmer delivers a suplex and goes for the pin but Jacobs kicks out. He has him in the corner and is pummeling Jacobs. Here comes the lethal chops from Whitmer and Jacobs slaps him in the head. Whitmer delivers a suplex and goes in for a bridge pin but Jacobs kicks out. He has Jacobs on the ropes and is running his neck roughly across the ropes. Here comes the next entrant which is Rhett Titus. Whitmer is owning his ass too while Jacobs grabs a nap in the corner. Titus is flopping around like a fish out of water. Whitmer is chopping away at Titus before we go to a commercial break. Back from the short break and Titus and Jacobs are attacking Whitmer. Here comes Michael Elgin to even up the numbers. He starts pummeling away on Jacobs and sends Titus flying into Jacobs. He back drops both men at the same time. Whitmer sends Elgin into Rhett Titus. Elgin scoops up both men and slams them down. Elgin does a delayed suplex on Jacobs while Whitmer stomps Titus. Here comes S.C.U.M. member Cliff Compton who throws powder in the face of Elgin. Titus has Whitmer cornered while Compton and Titus zip tie Elgin to the cage.  When he is incapacitated, the three members of S.C.U.M attack Whitmer, they deliver a spike piledriver. Titus pins Whitmer and he is eliminated from the match. Here comes Jay Lethal and he dropkicks a steel chair into Compton. Lethal hits Jacobs with the lethal combination and goes for the pin but Jacobs kicks out. Lethal goes over to Elgin and gets him free. Elgin goes after Compton and Lethal pulls Titus down from the cage. Back from commercial and here comes another S.C.U.M. member Rhyno who gores Michael Elgin. Titus gets speared by Rhyno because Lethal moved out of the way. Lethal pins and eliminates Rhyno. Lethal tosses Jacobs into the cage once more, Compton saves his partner. Lethal goes to the top rope and delivers an axe handle smash, he goes for the pin but Titus makes the save. Jacobs knocks down Elgin and starts to work on Jay Lethal. Here comes Kevin Steen, the final entrant. As he makes his way down to the ring, here comes Matt Hardy to make the save for S.C.U.M. Steen fights back and the fight in the ring escapes to the outside of the cage. Steen is owning Hardy’s ass. Steen has a steel chair and hits Titus with it. Pure chaos outside the ring and I love it. Hardy goes flying into the barricade. Lethal and Titus are beating the shit out of one another. Elgin takes down Compton. Jacobs and Titus set up the table in the ring and try to send Lethal crashing thru it but he stops himself. Titus gets superkicked. Lethal eliminates Rhett Titus. Hardy is still getting his ass whooped. Lethal grabs a steel chair and ends up superkicking Jacobs.  Cliff Compton eliminates Jay Lethal. Back from commercial and Jacobs is working on Steen. Elgin swings Jimmy Jacobs into the steel cage. Compton climbs to the top of the cage and Elgin grabs him and powerbombs him from the top rope. He pins and eliminates Compton. Corino climbs into the ring and throws a fire bomb at Michael Elgin who gets eliminated. There’s a briefcase in the ring and Corino pulls out lighter fluid and pours it onto Kevin Steen. Jacobs gets knocked down by Corino and the crazy man goes to light a match and here comes Nigel McGuiness. Jackets are flying off  and Nigel knocks him down. Hardy goes to attack him but Steen delivers a package piledriver. McGuinness tosses Jacobs to Steen and Steen eliminates him. Winner: TEAM Ring of Honor via Kevin Steen.

Adam Cole is watching from the ramp. Since S.C.U.M is over can Hardy leave. McGuiness and Steen embrace.

Riley’s Rewind—this honor goes to the main event. This match was action packed and had more twists and turns than an Alfred Hitchcock movie. Thank you Ring of Honor for one helluva main event.

Riley’s Regret—Steve Corino’s comments about BJ Whitmer crossed several lines. Corino needs to shut up.

Star of the night—this prestigious honor goes to Kevin Steen and the Team of Honor. These guys put on one helluva match.

In closing, I thought the show was fanfuckingtastic.  Make sure you all check out http://www.blogtalkradio.com/live-nation-radio-network. BJ Whitmer from Ring of Honor will be calling in so make sure you don’t miss it. We’ll be airing Tuesday at 10pm ET Call in at (347) 945-6363. Have a good night and a better tomorrow!
