It has been a long time since I wrote a Reality Check, but there is something that has been bothering me now for a little bit, and after reading the spoilers for the next 2 weeks of Impact Wrestling tapings, I need to speak up. The following article will contain spoilers so if you wish to not know about Impact stop reading.
At the Impact Wrestling tapings last night The Big O was eliminated before he could get to the judges. Correct me if I am wrong, but didn’t he not only win his match but dominate it? Exactly my point. But once again the MORONS at TNA and yes, you read correctly, MORONS picked the other joker who got rejected quicker than me asking ODB out on a date. The Big O is more then just Zack Ryder’s friend; he is a kick ass professional wrestler who, if not for Veda Scott would have been the PWI rookie of the year last year. I am proud to say that I am friends with The Big O and I will support him and be one of his biggest fans.
Now my rant will not be stopping there. The last Gut Check saw former 5 time NWA World Heavyweight Champion Adam Pearce win his Gut Check match, just to get rejected before going in front of the judges. First off, why in the FUCK did he need a Gut Check match to begin with? Um HELLO he is a former 5 time NWA Champion who had one of the greatest series of matches last year with Colt Cabana. But I forgot this is TNA we are talking about here; they are MORONS! Adam Pearce is one of the best independent wrestlers on the scene today, and he is in my opinion better than TNA. You could have had him in the Bound For Glory series and destroying everyone like he does all over the world but NO you have jabronis like Joseph Park and Jay Bradley in there for some unknown reason. Can someone explain to me why TNA did not jump on the chance to sign him?
TNA had the chance to not only bring an up and coming wrestler onto their roster; they had the chance to add an experienced wrestler, who not only can still go in the ring, but could also mentor the younger wrestlers as well. TNA had their chance to improve their future; yet they chose to go in another direction. Go ahead and keep paying Hogan 35 grand or whatever to appear on TV. In 2 years, TNA will be no more if they continue on the path they are.
