The Future Is Now

With John Mayer

Welcome everyone to the debut of The Future Is Now. I have been a big NXT supporter now ever since they have been on ScyFy. Now I can watch the future of the company on Hulu Plus. On this weeks show we have the contract signing between NXT Champion Big E Langston and Bo Dallas for the NXT Championship. We will also have a Tag Title Match with Champions The Wyatt Family taking on Kassius Ohno and Cory Graves. Without further ado let’s go to the ring.

We start off this week’s NXT with the contract singing which is being moderated by Jim Ross. The champion Big E signs the contract but before Bo Dallas signs he complains that he is not getting the shots that Langston has because he is not the NXT Champion. Langston counters by calling Bo a geek among other things. The contract gets signed by both superstars and the match is set for next week. It was nice to see Jim Ross here as he has been getting slammed by JBL on RAW every week. Hey JBL why don’t you say that shit to the legends face.

Backstage there is an interview with Cory Graves. He says he does not like Ohno but getting the Tag Titles from the Wyatt Family is more important.

Nice little piece on Paige. She says she is not the Anti Diva but she is the Diva of Tomorrow. She says she’s not there to be another pretty face but she’s there to compete.

ROUND 1 NXT WOMENS CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT MATCH: TAMINA SNUKA VS PAIGE

This should be 1 hell of a match. I have seen Paige wrestle on NXT and she is 1 hell of a female wrestler. However Snuka has the advantage early throwing Paige around like a ragdoll. Tamina dominates the beginning of the match while Paige has gotten in very little offense. When Paige tries for a comeback she gets a superkick for her troubles. Instead of going for the pin Snuka goes for the Superfly Splash. Paige gets her knees up and is able to stun Snuka with a rollup for the 3 count.

WINNER AND ADVANCING IN THE TOURNAMENT: PAIGE

That was not Paige’s best performance by a long shot. Tamina Snuka whooped her ass all over that ring. But it goes to show you that 1 mistake can cost you the match.

Backstage we have an interview with Kassius Ohno. Ohno says tonight he dives in and goes for the gold. He says tonights match is not a match, but a war. Can someone tell me why this man is not on the main roster yet? This man is GOLD!

Next piece is on Leo Kruger. He says he is an exotic human being and everything we know is about to change. This man is strange to say the least.

COLIN CASSIDY VS MASON RYAN

Hey look its the Rob Terry of the WWE. They do say last week in the 18 man Battle Royal he eliminated 11 men. Hot damn thats a lot. This was all Mason Ryan with him finishing off Cassidy with a Tourtue Rack Neckbreaker.

WINNER: MASON RYAN

It is nice to see Ryan get a W in this match as he was being under utilized on the main roster in my opinion.

Next interview is with Sami Zayn. He made his NXT debut acouple weeks prior with 2 big wins on 1 show. The first was over Curt Hawkins and the second was Antonio Cesaro. While he is talking about his big wins he is interrupted by the former United States Champion. While they are talking I’m having flashbacks from Ring Of Honor with these 2. Cesaro says the win was cheap and challenged Zayn to a rematch which Zayn accepts so long as Cesaro tells him where he got that wonderful man purse from. Cesaro did not like that and slapped Zayn which led to a fight which was broken up by officals.

ALEX RILEY VS CONOR O’ BRYAN

This is a different look for O’Bryan since his days on the original NXT. The match begins with O’Bryan just standing there in some pose. The match started sloppy but they managed to smooth it out. O’Bryan takes Riley over with 3 straight headlocks. Riley tries to get some offense in with a Lariat from the top rope however O’Bryan is just too much and wins with this sick submission hold called The Stockade.

WINNER: CONOR O’ BRYAN

As O’ Bryan walks up the ramp he is met by an unknown individual. They look at each other and scream for no reason what so ever.

Next week on NXT is the match for NXT Championship with Bo Dallas taking on Champion Big E Langston.

MAIN EVENT FOR THE NXT TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: KASSIUS OHNO & CORY GRAVES VS THE WYATT FAMILY (c)

Bray Wyatt scares me. I don’t know if it’s the way he looks or the way he talks. It’s something about him that gives me the creeps. Rowan and Harper are just HUGE! And with Bray Wyatt sitting in his rocking chair they may hold these titles a long time. The challengers try and use there speed at the beginning but the strength advantage goes to the champions. Ohno and Graves act like a team that has been teaming for awhile with there quick tags. Back from a commerical break the champs have the advantage over Ohno until Ohno hits a jawbreaker and gets the tag to Graves. Graves comes in and takes both men down until he gets a big boot on the ring apron from Harper. Rowan locks in a nasty over the shoulder back-breaker which made my back tingle. Graves is able to get free and make the tag to Ohno who goes after both men. Ohno hits a rolling headbutt on Harper which looked SICK! But in the end Bray Wyatt hits Ohno which allowed Harper to hit a lariet for the 3 count.

WINNERS AND STILL NXT TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: THE WYATT FAMILY

That is all for this week. Next week on top of the NXT Championship match we get another first round Women’s Championship Tournament match. Come back next week as I take a look into the future.
