We see Sheamus come out for a tag team match with Sheamus and Orton facing Jericho and Del Rio.
Match 1: Sheamus and Randy Orton vs Chris Jericho and Alberto Del Rio
Sheamus and Orton come out to big pops. Jericho comes out in his Lite Bright jacket. Del Rio comes out to Ricardo Rodriguez sounding constipated. He is not in a car. We start out with Orton and Jericho. Jericho takes an early control which Orton quickly reverses. Orton tags in Sheamus by hitting his injured shoulder. Sheamus then tags in Orton in the same manner. A quick match. As soon as the bell rings, AJ goes berserk and hits a dropkick to the knee and wins the match in under a minute using the Shining Wizard.

After the match, she continues her assault on Kaitlyn, while Daniel Bryan comes out and mocks AJ. He then says he is going to go after Kaitlyn.

Match 3 Winner: Daniel Bryan by submission
Laurinitis comes into the ring looking pissed. He then admonishes Show for mocking his voice on Monday. Laurinitis calls Show a “7 foot 400 pound 40 year old freak”. Laurinitis says that Show must apologize on Monday’s upcoming Raw.
I am getting back on my post for another rant. This whole John Laurinitis angle is getting ridiculous. What the WWE needs is someone who isn’t going to abuse his power and put his employees in harm’s way. HHH needs to take back control and find someone who won’t try to change the whole face of WWE. A lot of people do not like Laurinitis and I am one of them. Laurnitis needs to get off of TV and go back to his regular job and not be on camera. He is one of the worst GM’s I have seen. He has turned into Teddy Long and done a bunch of tag team matches. He is also disliked by many of the top superstars. Teddy Long is getting severely mistreated at Laurnitis’s hands. In my opinion, Long did well as Smackdown’s GM. This angle had better end fast and soon.
Okay, rant over.
Match 4: Ryback vs. Heath Slater
Heath Slater blows himself full of hot air. Ryback comes out to a good pop. Slater looks scared. Slater gets Ryback to the floor and attempts a neckbreaker which Ryback reverses. Ryback then hits the Powerslam and then the lariat. He hits his finisher, the fisherman’s buster for the quick win.

Match 5 Winner: Antonio Cesaro
We then get a promo about John Cena and the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Cena has granted over 200 wishes and is one of the most requested superstars. Cena is not the world’s greatest wrestler but I have a ton of respect for him for what he does for Make-a-Wish. He always takes time out to hang with the kids and make them feel special. Every year he does a pizza party with them right before Mania. Cena won the Chris Grecius award. Now most of the WWE superstars grant wishes, but Cena is the most popular.
Match 6: Randy Orton vs. Alberto Del Rio
Orton takes quick control and slams Del Rio’s head into the ringposts. Del Rio then starts attacking Orton’s shoulder. Del Rio goes for the cover but only gets a 2 count. Orton then hits a clothesline on Del Rio and an RKO. Orton goes for a DDT but Del Rio reverses it to kick Orton in the face. Del Rio repeatedly kicks Orton’s shoulder. Del Rio has really hurt Orton’s shoulder. Orton hits the DDT on Del Rio and gets into his happy place. Ricardo Rodriguez goes for a cross body block but Orton hits the RKO for the DQ.
Match 6 Winner: Orton by DQ
Del Rio then puts Orton’s injured shoulder in the cross arm breaker and doesn’t release it. It takes 2 refs for him to break the hold.
Match 7: Jack Swagger vs. R-Truth
Truth comes out to a mixed reaction. Swagger comes out to a mixed reaction too. Swagger’s hair irritates me. Swagger takes quick control of the match. Truth reverses it and hits a double leg drop. Swagger hits a submission move which Truth breaks out of. Truth hits a variety of moves and goes for a cover and only gets a 2 count. Kofi and Ziggler wrestle outside of the ring. Truth hits the Little Jimmy for the win.
Match 7 Winner: R-Truth
Match 8: Zack Ryder and Santino Marella vs. Titus O’Neil and Darren Young
The match starts with O’Neil and Santino. O’Neil and Young tag each other in and out. Ryder is tagged in and hits both Young and O’Neil and goes for the cover on Young but only gets a 2 count. Santino goes for the cobra on O’Neil but Young hits an arm bar. Ryder repeatedly punches Young in the head. O’Neil hits a back breaker and Young hits an elbow drop on Ryder for the victory.
Match 8 Winner: Titus O’Neil and Darren Young
Matt Striker then talks to Damien Sandow about why he didn’t wrestle last week. Sandow uses a lot of big words to say that everyone is stupid and don’t appreciate anything,
Match 9: Brodus Clay vs. Hunico
Hunico and Camacho hit Clay before the match even starts. The match starts with Clay headbutting Hunico. Clay throws Hunico across the ring and downs Camacho. Clay flattens Hunico for the quick win.
Match 9 Winner: Brodus Clay
Match 10: Chris Jericho vs Sheamus
Sheamus takes quick control of the match. Jericho kicks Sheamus in the face and throws him into the turnbuckles. Sheamus then repeatedly hits Jericho’s chest. Sheamus regains control and goes for a cover but only gets a 1 count. Sheamus headbutts Jericho’s stomach. Jericho kicks Sheamus’ injured shoulder. Jericho repeatedly punches the shoulder and puts Sheamus in a submission move. Jericho hits a drop kick on Sheamus. Sheamus hits Jericho which Jericho reverses and attempts to put Sheamus in the Walls of Jericho. He then succeeds and Sheamus reaches the ropes. Sheamus throws Jericho over the ropes. Match 10 Winner: Sheamus by DQ
Del Rio puts Sheamus’ arm in the cross arm breaker. Orton comes out and hits the RKO on Del Rio. Sheamus and Orton stare each other down to end the show.
This week’s edition of Laying the Smackdown gets a 6 of 10 from me. The matches were really short and mediocre. Next week I will give my predictions for the Over the Limit pay per view. Next week will be pretty promo heavy. Well, see ya next week for another edition of Laying the Smackdown!
